Labour manifesto to be revealed on Thursday 4 July

Manifesto will cover eight key areas
The Labour Party will release its manifesto for the 2024 General Election on Thursday 4 July, which will include detailed and fully-costed policies.
The document, which was distributed to MPs and prospective parliamentary candidates earlier this year, sets out policy in eight key areas:
- The economy
- Education
- Health
- Housing
- The environment
- Social justice
- Democracy
- Foreign policy
Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer is expected to launch the manifesto at a press conference in Manchester on Thursday morning.
The party is hoping that the manifesto will help it to win the next election, which is due to be held on Thursday 4 July. The Conservatives are currently in power, but they have been weakened by a series of scandals and policy failures.
The Labour manifesto is likely to be scrutinised closely by the media and by the public. It will be important for the party to set out its policies clearly and convincingly, and to show how they will benefit the country.
The 2024 General Election is a stark choice between more of the same chaos and decline with the Conservatives, or real change with Labour.
